About Randolph & Co.

Randolph & Co. is a private diamond sourcing and custom jewelry studio specializing in engagement rings and fine diamond jewelry. We work directly with global suppliers to source exceptional lab-grown stones and pair them with thoughtfully designed settings — crafted to heirloom standards, without the traditional retail markup.

Our Signature Collection features five rings, each named after the women in our founder’s family: his wife Rachael, and their daughters Henley, Harper, Haddie, and Hollis. Every ring was designed with intention, not just aesthetics.

We’re based in Springfield, MO and operate as a private studio serving clients across the United States. Consultations are available virtually or by appointment — most clients never need to visit a physical store, and that’s by design. It keeps our overhead low and our pricing honest.

Lab-grown diamonds are physically and chemically identical to mined diamonds — same fire, same brilliance, same hardness. The only difference is origin. They’re grown in controlled environments using the same crystalline structure as natural diamonds, and every stone we source carries an IGI or GIA certificate confirming its quality grades.

The real reason we love them: you get dramatically more stone for your money. A budget that gets you a 1ct natural diamond can get you a 3ct lab-grown with the same or better specs. For our clients, that means the ring they actually dreamed of — not a compromise.

A few key differences:

  • No retail markup. Traditional jewelry stores mark up diamonds 100–300%. We source directly and price transparently.
  • Personal service. You work directly with us — not a commissioned salesperson with a quota.
  • Custom by default. We don’t believe in “close enough.” Every ring is built to your specifications, in the metal you want, sized to fit.
  • Lab-grown only. We specialize in what we know and believe in. We’re not trying to be everything to everyone.

Lab-Grown Diamonds

Yes. Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds in every scientific sense. They have the same chemical composition (pure carbon), the same crystal structure, the same optical properties, and the same hardness (10 on the Mohs scale) as mined diamonds. Even professional gemologists cannot distinguish them with the naked eye.

The only difference is where they came from. A lab-grown diamond is grown in a controlled environment using either High Pressure High Temperature (HPHT) or Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) technology — replicating the same process that occurs naturally underground over billions of years, just much faster.

We’ll be straight with you: lab-grown diamonds have experienced significant price decreases in recent years as supply has increased. They are not a financial investment in the same way some market natural diamonds.

But here’s the honest framing: neither are mined diamonds. The resale market for natural diamonds has always been far below retail. The difference is that with lab-grown, you get dramatically more stone for your budget upfront — and an engagement ring’s value isn’t measured in resale price. It’s measured in what it means to the person wearing it.

Every diamond we source is certified by either IGI (International Gemological Institute) or GIA (Gemological Institute of America) — the two most respected grading labs in the industry. The certificate documents the stone’s exact carat weight, cut, color, clarity, and other characteristics. You’ll receive a physical or digital copy with every purchase.

Absolutely. Our sourcing process is built around your exact specifications — shape, carat weight, color grade, clarity grade, cut grade, length-to-width ratio for fancy shapes, fluorescence preference, and more. Use the Diamond Sourcing form to submit your criteria and we’ll locate matching inventory directly from our manufacturing partners.

Pricing & Value

Our available Signature rings are priced as follows:

  • The Rachael (No. I) — $3,500
  • The Harper (No. III) — $2,650

Additional rings in the collection are coming soon. Prices include the ring setting in your preferred metal. The diamond is sourced separately based on your specifications and budget — we’ll walk you through options at every price point.

Traditional jewelry stores carry enormous overhead — retail locations, large staffs, advertising budgets, and inventory that sits in cases for years. That cost gets baked into the price you pay, often 100–300% above the actual value of the diamond.

We operate differently. We source directly from manufacturers, work privately without a storefront, and pass those savings directly to our clients. The ring you get from us at $4,000 would cost $8,000–$12,000 at a traditional retailer. Same quality. Same craftsmanship. Very different price.

We’re exploring financing and BNPL (Buy Now, Pay Later) options. Contact us to discuss what’s available — we want to make sure the ring you want isn’t out of reach because of timing.

The Process

  1. Start a conversation. Reach out through our contact form, call, or text. Tell us what you’re looking for — or just that you’re not sure yet.
  2. Diamond selection. We source options based on your preferences and budget and present them to you with full cert details and pricing.
  3. Ring selection. Choose from our Signature Collection or describe a bespoke design you have in mind.
  4. Deposit & production. Once you confirm your selection, a deposit secures your order and production begins.
  5. Delivery. Your finished ring ships fully insured, with all certification documentation included.

Diamond sourcing typically takes a few days to a week depending on what’s available. Ring production generally runs 2–4 weeks. Total from first conversation to delivery is usually 3–5 weeks for most orders, though timeline can vary depending on complexity and any custom specifications.

If you have a specific date in mind — a proposal, an anniversary — let us know upfront and we’ll work backwards from there.

A bespoke ring is designed entirely around your vision — not a template, not a catalog pick. You describe what you want (or share inspiration images), we work with you to refine the concept, and it’s built to your exact specifications: metal, setting style, band design, stone shape, and every other detail.

Bespoke doesn’t mean more expensive than you’d expect. Because we source diamonds directly and work without retail overhead, even fully custom rings are often priced below what you’d pay for a standard design at a retail store.

Yes. We provide full certificate details, verified photographs, and video of any stone before you make a decision. Every diamond we present comes with its IGI or GIA grading report so you can verify every spec independently. We never ask you to commit blind.

05

Shipping & Returns

All shipments are fully insured for the value of the piece and require adult signature upon delivery. We use specialized insured carriers experienced with high-value jewelry. You’ll receive tracking information as soon as your order ships.

Because every ring is made to order, we don’t accept returns on completed pieces. However, if there is a quality issue or a discrepancy from what was agreed upon, we will make it right — full stop. Contact us directly if you have a concern.

Yes. One complimentary resize is included within 30 days of delivery. Just let us know and we’ll arrange it — shipping costs for the first resize are covered by us. Additional resizes after that are available at standard rates.
